VIDEO: Giving Birth & The Feels That Follow

On Friday’s you can expect new GoddessColumnTV videos and I thought what better way to start the first episode of the new year than to celebrate a very momentous occasion in my life. Today is a very exciting day for me as I am happy to reach my 38th week of pregnancy and I can truly start to prepare myself for giving birth. There were many people who requested that I documented my pregnancy more after I wrote “Dear Mommy, I’m Not A Mistake”, but it was very important for me to give myself enough valuable time to accept and grow with my pregnancy. I’m finally at a place where I can share a little bit more about how it now that I”m just two weeks before giving birth!

What I’ll miss the most after giving birth:

I will miss being as close as I am to my baby girl right now. I love feeling her little limbs moving around on the inside of me although they can be painful. I have never felt more womanly or powerful than how I feel when I can significantly feel her moving around on the inside of me. The thought of carrying a human, growing a human, creating life–it is truly indescribable.

What I’ll love the most after giving birth:

It goes without saying that my greatest joy will be meeting my daughter, nothing can compare to that. However, I look forward to being able to indulge in my love of coffee once again. I’ve went a long, long time without it and I look forward to being able to enjoy it again. I also can’t wait to sleep on my stomach again. You don’t realize how amazing that is until you can’t do it anymore.

Ultimately, it’s really hard to write my excitement which is why I recorded a reaction video, so please watch it and bask in this wonderful moment with me. –Isis.
